Football Federation has launched a tram with Euro-2012 mnemonics, football players’ images and photos of interesting goal chances prior to the European Championship in Pavlodar, Tengrinews.kz reports. The Oblast's Football Federation, Tram Department and Irtysh Football Club are the initiators of the unusual project. “The main goal of this project is promotion of football, children’s football teams and amateur championships revival. There is a good reason why we have launched this new Football tram on the first day of the European Championship. There are a lot of people in Pavlodar who love football very much. People will watch European matches with great interest during this Championship. That’s why we have put information blocks with football matches schedules on the trams,” Jamilya Maricheva Pavlodar Tram Department press-service head said. Irtysh football players have prepared an unusual surprise for little tram passengers. The players have distributed footballs with their autographs among the children and allowed them to make photos of them. “It was all of a sudden and very pleasant. We have got on the tram and saw Irtysh football players. It is not a common thing to see a full team on a tram. They have presented a football to my little grandson. For sure, city authorities should hold such campaigns more often. It is our responsibility to get our children intrigued with sports and with football in particular,” Victor Zakharov, one of tram passengers said. Football tram will run along a popular loop route that connects the City Center and the railroad station. The information on EURO 2012 matches and National Football Championships premier-leagues matches will be placed on the Football tram after the European Championship is over. According to the organizers, tickets to all the matches of Irtysh, Pavlodar local football club, will soon be sold on the tram.
