January 25:Partly cloudy, no precipitation. Fog at times. East wind at 2-7 m/s. Nighttime temperature: -15 to -17°C, daytime: -3 to -5°C.
January 26: Partly cloudy, no precipitation. Northeast wind at 2-7 m/s. Nighttime temperature: -11 to -13°C, daytime: 0 to -2°C.
Earlier, the Almaty akimaty (local government administration) reported that 18 centimeters of snow fell in the city in 24 hours, which is 31% of the January norm.
