Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that it was preparing a big air show with the participation of 84 crews of military aircraft and helicopters for the Victory Day in Astana. The concept of the upcoming air show has been kept secret. But it is already known that pilots will be building a number 70 in the sky as a symbol of the anniversary and then performing aerobatics solo and groups shows.
At a press briefing on April 9, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan Major General Muslim Altynbayev said that the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan could still cancel the aircraft demonstration of the cherished figure.
"As for the number 70, the idea was to decorate the air component of the parade. But the final decision on this issue has not been made yet. The skill of our pilots is high enough to perform this stunt. But safety is our priority," he said.
