Tengrinews.kz - The developers of the WhatsApp messenger have introduced ten filters and ten backgrounds to enhance video calls.
According to the company’s blog, the new tools will improve the video quality during calls using various filters and virtual backgrounds. The selection of filters is similar to the basic set available in Instagram Stories. The available filters include Warm, Cool, Black & White, Light leak, Dreamy, Prism light, Fisheye, Vintage TV, Frosted glass и Duo tone.
Users can blur the background during video calls to conceal their surroundings or completely replace it with one of WhatsApp's preset virtual backgrounds. They can also brighten the overall image and add the desired color to the transmitted online video. Additionally, the developers have included Touch up and Low Light options.
To apply the new backgrounds and filters during a personal or group video call, users need to click on the effects icons in the upper right corner of the screen. It is specified that these effects will be available to all messenger users in the coming weeks.
