Karaganda experts to take part in power engineers tournament in Russia

Karaganda power engineers will take part in the international tournament to be held at the end of September in Russia, KazTAG reports citing press-service of Karagandy Zharyk company. “International tournament of 110kV power lines maintenance crews of CIS countries will be held in September 18-24 in Penza, Russia. Over 20 teams from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan will take part in the contest. Kazakhstan will be represented by one of the major power companies of Central Kazakhstan, Karagandy Zharyk,” the press-service’s message states. According to the company, the team consists of 5 people: master of electrical distribution systems and 4 high-voltage lines repair electricians. “Participants showed excellent results at local qualification tournament. The team is made of well-experienced experts,” the message states. International tournament will include 6 stages on knowledge of rules and regulations, theory and practice, rendering first aid to injured by electric current. Participants will have to show their professional expertise in different situations. “National power engineers tournament has already completed in Kazakhstan. Representatives of 9 regions competed for the title of the most professional team. Karagandy Zharyk company won the Grand Prix for the second time. First prize was won by Alatau team, the second prize was given to North-Kazakhstan power company. Akmolinskaya power company won the third prize,” the press-service said.
