Tengrinews.kz – A column of cars got stuck on the Karaganda-Astana highway.
According to the Police Department of Karaganda Region, 40 cars got stuck on the Karaganda-Astana highway, between the villages of Baymyrza and Oshagandy, due to a snowstorm.
Currently, traffic is closed for all types of transport:
Kostanay region - the Zhezkazgan-Arkalyk-Petropavlovsk highway, 339-377 kilometers long (from the city of Arkalyk to the border of the Akmola region).
Akmola region - 377-440 kilometers of the Zhezkazgan-Arkalyk-Petropavlovsk highway (from the border of the Kostanay region to the city of Derzhavinsk). And also 856-1230 kilometers of the Astana-Karaganda-Almaty highway (from the border of the North Kazakhstan region to the village of Kazhymukan).
Estimated opening time - 7 AM on February 14.
Karaganda region - Kyzylorda-Zhezkazgan-Karaganda-Shiderty highway, 970-1135 kilometers (from the city of Karaganda to the border of the Pavlodar region).
Pavlodar region - Kyzylorda-Zhezkazgan-Karaganda-Shiderty highway, 1135-1206 kilometers (from the border of the Karaganda region to the village of Shiderty).
Estimated opening time of the road - February 14 at 8 AM.
Earlier, the police have addressed the residents of Astana due to the blizzard and strong winds. Law enforcement urges Astana residents to refrain from long trips outside the city.
