There was a fire at Shymkent oil refinery, Tengrinews.kz reports. According to witnesses, one of the two 10m pipe furnaces caught fire. The upper part of the shop caught fire and the smoke went tens of meters up in the air. The fire started at 02:30 p.m. on February 6. Several groups of firefighters were dispatched to the accident site at first, but part of them did not even reach the refinery. The dispatchers called them off, as the fire was not very strong. The fire was extinguished. The reasons of the fire are currently being identified and preliminary damage is being evaluated.
