13-y.o. Elizabet Tursynbayeva from Kazakhstan has won the New Year's Cup 2014 international figure skating tournament in Bratislava, Slovakia, Tengrinews reports citing Kyzylorda-news.kz. The New Year's Cup was held on January 2-6. Elizabet represented Kazakhstan and the Kazakh city of Kyzylorda in the competition against 13 skaters from 10 countries. The victory in Slovakia brought 250 points to her rating. In the current season she is rated 47the with 389 points. Despite her young age Elizabet holds a range of sonorous titles. She is a three-time champion of Kazakhstan, winner of a figure skating competition in Moscow, Open Championship in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and the silver-winner of the Russian Cup 2012 stage. Elizabet Tursynabyeva lived and trained in Moscow for a while. She recently moved to Toronto, Canada with her family to train with Brian Orser, a famous coach.
