The pilot of the Kazakhstan team Astana Arthur Ardavichus called the 3rd stage of Dakar Rally the most traumatic, Tengrinews.kz reports. We had a feeling we were beaten up by ten people. The day turned out very tiring. We covered 200 km, but it felt like it was the entire 500 km. There were very narrow canyons, rocks around, ups and downs…There wasn't a more difficult part than this in the Dakar Rally. That was a seriously shaky ride. We received many injures, bruises, compression strokes, but I believe our doctor will fix that and it will be all fine, Ardavichus commented the stage. Before the fourth stage of Dakar Rally, Astana team is leading the overall classification in the trucks class. According to the Kazakhstan pilot, it is yet too early to rejoice about it. “We saw we managed to catch up with a couple of teams. We hope we keep up this pace. Go Kazakhstan, go Astana team!" The fourth stage of Dakar Rally took place on the 4th of January, between Argentinian cities San Juan and Chilecito. The detailed description of this part of the race can be found here.
