13-y.o. Kazakhstan chess-player Zhansaya Abdumalik has won silver at the FIDE World Junior Chess Championship 2013 in Turkey, Vesti.kz reports. The championship took place on September 12-27, 2013 in Kocaeli, Turkey. Abdumalik reached the decisive final game a little behind the leader of the championship Russian WGM Alexandra Goryachkina. The girls were only half a point apart. The Russian chess-player won her last game, while Kazakhstan's Zhansaya ended hers in a draw. Russian WGM Alexandra Goryachkina gained the total of 10.5 points and WIM Zhansaya Abdumalik scored 9.5 points at the tournament. Another young Kazakhstan chess-player Dinara Saduakasova had good chance of getting a bronze medal, but failed by a mere 0.5 points. Bibissara Assaubayeva and Zhanna Karabayeva of Kazakhstan also participated in the tournament. Zhansaya Abdumalik has won several junior world championships. She is the youngest international Grandmaster among women in Kazakhstan.
