New US Ambassador to Kazakhstan to come from Iraq in September

A new US ambassador to Kazakhstan will possibly come to Kazakhstan from Iraq in September, KazTAG reports citing US temporary charge d'affaires in Kazakhstan John Ordway. He said that a new ambassador has to be approved by the Senate. Ordway said that the new ambassador is currently in Iraq and can not leave his post yet. John Ordway was appointed acting head of US diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan in January. He became the US temporary charge d'affaires in Kazakhstan. Ordway served as US ambassador in Kazakhstan from 2004 to 2008.
