Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet forecasters have made a forecast about what the weather will be like in Kazakhstan from January 21 to 23.

According to the weather forecast, on January 21-22, under the influence of a northwestern cyclone, precipitation will occur in most of the country: in the northern regions, snow, sometimes heavy snow; in the east, south, and southeast of Kazakhstan – heavy precipitation in the form of rain and snow.

A blizzard, ice, fog, and wind speeds of 15-28 m/s are also expected in the republic; in the east, south, and southeast of Kazakhstan, very strong winds are expected – 30 m/s or more.

"However, a cold anticyclone is moving behind this warm and humid cyclone, bringing a sharp drop in temperature throughout the country—down to -25 to -35°C in the northern half and -15 to -25°C in the southern half," the report says.
