Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet meteorologists have released a weather forecast for January 30, 31, and February 1 in Kazakhstan.
A northwestern cyclone will shape the weather across most of the country, bringing cloudy skies with snow, sleet, and rain. Heavy snowfall, blizzards, strong winds, and fog are expected in the east on January 30-31 and in the north on January 31.
In southern and southeastern Kazakhstan, intense precipitation (rain and snow) will occur on January 30-31, accompanied by icy conditions. Only the western regions will remain dry due to an anticyclone.
"At night, temperatures in the north, east, and central regions will drop to –20…–28°C, but by February 1, daytime temperatures will approach zero," meteorologists reported.
Forecasters also clarified the weather forecast for winter 2024/2025 in Kazakhstan. It is noted that in general, the winter temperature regime is expected to be within the climatic norm with precipitation exceeding the long-term norm. However, periods with cessation of precipitation and abnormally low air temperatures are not excluded.
