Kazakhstan’s Yaroslava Shvedova paired with Germany’s Julia Goerges made it into the final of the International WTA ASB Classic-2013 Doubles that is being held in Auckland (New Zealand) on December 31, 2012 – January 5, 2013, Vesti.kz reports. Shvedova/Goerges duo, registered as Number 1 in the tournament, has confidently won over France-Canadian duo of Julia Coin/Marie-Eve Pelletier in two sets with the score of 6:4, 6:1 in the semifinals. It took the Kazakhstan-German pair a little over an hour to win their way into the final of the tournament. Shvedova/Goerges duo will play against Cara Black (Zimbabwe) paired with Anastassiya Rodionova (Australia) in the final match. Shvedova, registered as Number 6 at the WTA ASB Classic-2013 Singles, left the tournament after she lost to Russia’s Elena Vesnina (2:6, 3:6) in the second round.
