“Thank you for your invitation. I wish you to win the fight. All Kazakhstanis are cheering for you,” the Head of the State wrote to Golovkin.

In response, Golovkin expressed his gratitude to President Nazarbayev for his support. “I am very thankful to all my countrymen for their support. It is a great honor,” Golovkin said in an interview to the TV channel.

“There are only 2-3 days left. We all are waiting for the fight. I’m in a good mood. I had no injuries during the trainings. I am glad and thankful for my team. I want to wish everyone good health. Watch boxing, love boxing and never miss punches,” the smiling boxer said.

The fight against Geale is a milestone for Golovkin. It is his 30th fight. Golovkin, who holds the highest KO record among middleweight boxers is surely prepared to defeat his opponent. But despite his astonishing record, Gennady always takes his opponents seriously and Geale is no exception.

Kazakhstan's Golovkin goes by many names; some commentators call him Tripple G, or Good Boy, and even God of War. All of them fit Golovkin perfectly. On July 26, at Madison Square Garden Golovkin will test whether Daniel “Real Deal” Geal is what he calls himself to be.
