An open seminar on Krav Maga, a unique modern hand-to-hand fight, will be held in Almaty, Tengrinews.kz reports. The event will be held on June 4 at 1 p.m. in World Class Almaty fitness-club (at the crossing of Nauryzbai batyr and Kabanbai batyr streets). The seminar will be held by a famous martial arts master from Poland Jaroslav Rogovsky. Anyone regardless of sex and age will be able to take part in the seminar. Krav Maga is an hand-to-hand combat system developed in Israel that involves striking techniques, wrestling and grappling, mostly known for its extremely efficient and brutal counter-attacks, and is taught to regular and special forces in Israel. It focuses on quick and effective neutralization of threat in real life conditions. The system became famous after it became a must for some of the Israeli forces. Krav Maga has a philosophy emphasizing threat neutralisation, simultaneous defensive and offensive maneuvers, and aggression. Currently this technique is available not only to military, but also to ordinary people who want to learn to defend themselves. Celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Sandra Bullock and Angelina Jolie have already mastered Krav Maga techniques. Master Jaroslav Rogovsky is an adept of many marshal arts, including boxing, Muay Thai and wrestling. He is one of the first people from Poland who to start using this combat technique. He is currently one of the founders of the World Krav Maga Academy.
