Kazakhstan's track and field team is counting on two medals at London Olympics, the team's head coach Vyacheslav Sokirko told Tengrinews.kz. "The medals are goals for Olga Rypakova in triple jump and Dmitry Karpov in decathlon. Facing the reality, only these two sportsmen are able to win the medals. We have just came back from the Asian Championship, where Dmitry won gold with the best results for the Asian Championships. He is in an excellent shape," Sokirko said. The coach also noted that health problems that Karpov had recently were gone. The London Olympics will start in around 5 months. Kazakhstan's national team has already won 12 spots. "We have over 20 people able to perform at the Olympics. It will be excellent, if at least half of them reach the goals. We are planning to take part in ten competitions before the Olympics. We will be able to win more licenses to the Games in these competitions," he added. Karpov is a bronze-winner of Athens Olympics-2004. Rypakova won Endurance World Championship in Doha in 2010. Kazakhstan track and field national team did not win any medals at Beijing Olympics-2008.
