The match between Karaganda FC Shakhter and FC Maccabi of Haifa city ended in a draw, Vesti.kz.
It was the first domestic game of Kazakhstan’s Shakhter within the frames of the first round of the European League group stage.
The match that was held at the Astana Arena stadium finished with the score of 2:2. Shakhter club’s footballers struck the rivals’ woodwork two times during the first half of the game. Andrey Finonchenko and Yevgeniy Tarasov scored the two goals. After the break the Israeli footballers followed with Ruben Rayo and Alon Turgeman scoring two goals.
Book-makers expected Kazakhstan's Shakhter to lose to Israeli Maccabi. Shakhter lost to the FC PAOK of Greece with the score of 1:2, and the FC AZ Alkmaar won over Maccabi in Israel with the score of 1:0.
Karaganda FC Shakhter will host the Az Alkmaar from Netherlands on October 24 at the Astana Arena stadium in Astana. The match will start at 10:00 p.m. Astana time.
