Figure Skating: Kazakhstan's Denis Ten second after short program at World Championship

Kazakhstan’s Denis Ten became second after the short program at the 2013 ISU World Figure Skating Championship that is being held in London, Ontario, Canada, Vesti.kz reports. Canada’s Patrick Chan is in the first place after the short program of the men’s competition: he scored 98.37 points. This result is the best short program result over the history of the new figure skating evaluation system. Ten of Kazakhstan got 91.56 points for his short program. Another Canadian skater Kevin Reynolds was ranked third with 85.16 points. Another Kazakhstan’s skater Abzal Rakimgaliyev scored 59.14 points and became 28th. He failed to qualify for the free skating program. The men’s free program competition will take place on Friday, March 15.
