Two foreign designers declared in the program failed to come to Kazakhstan to participate in the 2012/2013 Fashion Week of autumn-winter season, Tengrinews.kz reports. According to KFW PR-director Botagoz Aldongarova, this happened for the first time in project’s history since 2003. Yasmin Ambre, Almaty Fashion Week Arab countries partner relationship specialist gave the reasons of the designers’ cancellations. She said that Aly Fawaz (United Arab Emirates) failed to arrive to Kazakhstan because his assistant had met with a road accident. The designer was to present his collection on April 19 in the first day of the event. Dany Atrache from Lebanon, who was supposed to close 2012/2013 KFW autumn-winter season with his collection, lost his passport right before the flight. Designers from Kazakhstan, Georgia, Germany, UK, France and Thailand will take part in 2012 KFW on April 19-21. Keti Chkhvadze, Avtandil (Georgia), Svetlana Kushnerova (Sweet Dream brand, Germany), and Jean Fares Couture (France) collections were presented on April 19, in the first day that opened Kazakhstan Fashion Week.
