Serik Akhmetov has checked out the main functioning principles of ERA-GLONASS system, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan Prime-Minister's press-service. "Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Serik Akhmetov started his work trip to Russia with a visit to the Navigation-Information Systems. The Prime-Minister attended the presentation of one of the company's projects, the system of emergency response to accidents called ERA-GLONASS. Serik Akhmetov looked into the main functionning principles of ERA-GLONASS system, including interaction with emergency service of the Interior Ministry, Emergency Situations Ministry and eCall system (European analogue)," the message states. Prime-Minister stated that Kazakhstan is currently creating a work group led by Minister of Transport and Communications Askar Zhumagaliyev to study all the aspects of this system. ERA-GLONASS is a Russian federal system covering 40 million vehicles in 83 country's regions and aimed at reducing consequences of car accidents by means of accelerating responce to the accidents and rendering aide to the victims.
