The Central Mosque Almaty has announced a Quran recital competition among children, Tengrinews reports citing Novosti-Kazakhstan.

The Central Mosque Almaty has announced a Quran recital competition among children, Tengrinews reports citing Novosti-Kazakhstan.

“On Friday, July 11 after Jummah Namaz a Quran recital competition among children under 15 y.o. will be held in the Central Mosque. Both boys and girls will be taking part in the competition. The competition will be held in two separate rooms: men’s and women’s rooms respectively,” the Mosque announced on its official website.

The competition participants will perform 24 surahs: from Ash-Shams to Nas. Everything from beauty of recital, correct pronunciation of letters and tajwid will be considered at the competition.
