Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member-states will make joint decisions on deployment of third countries military bases at te CSTO territory, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing RIA Novosti. President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said that at the Collective Security session. “A member-country will need to get an official confirmation from all CSTO members to deploy a military structures of non-CSTO counties at its territory,” he said. Meanwhile the president of Russia Dmitry Medvedev said that this was “a consolidating decision and all the parties reached a general consensus.” Earlier this week Belarus passed the chairmanship in CSTO charter bodies to Kazakhstan at the session of the Collective Security Council.
