Kazakhstanis have gained seven precious heritages as a gift, said President Nursultan Nazarbayev at the meeting dedicated to the celebration of the Independence of Kazakhstan, Tengrinews reports referring to the press office of the Head of the State. The land is the first heritage of the 22 years of Independence, said the President. “More than 14 thousand kilometers of undisputed borders have welded our Motherland into a monolith. The borders have become the landmarks of good neighborliness with all the bordering countries,” said Nazarbayev. The integrity of the nation is the second heritage, said the President. “We were able to turn our Motherland into a cradle of peace. We were able to reach stability because of this peace and unity through harmony. Stability and unity are our main fortunes, our priceless heritage. If peace becomes our foundation, stability our anchor, and harmony our heart's desire, then our country will take a worthy place in history,” said the Head of the State. Referring to unity, the President stressed that the unity of our spirits creates the foundation of our secular state and society. Nazarbayev stressed that the language and the culture form the third heritage of Kazakhstanis. “Today the Kazakh language is taught in leading universities of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Poland, Hungary, South Korea, Germany, the UK and the USA. The number of such countries is growing every year. Cambridge University has a Kazakh language, history and culture course,” said Nursultan Nazarbayev. He added that thanks to the Independence, Kazakh culture has been developing with renewed vigor. The national project Madeni Mura (Cultural Heritage) is dedicated to restoration, protection and study of history, literature and culture of the Kazakh people and Kazakhstan as a whole. According to the President, this project helps preserve our culture. “Our art and rich cultural heritage have become a part of the world’s spiritual wealth, ” said the Head of the State. The industrial and innovative economy of Kazakhstan is the fourth heritage, according to the President. “ The wealth of the land belongs to and serves the nation. Experts have estimated that this year Kazakhstan is 19th in the Global Ranking in Mineral Resources Management. We have learned our lesson during the global crisis. In the 21st century industrial power and innovation define the path of successful countries,” said Nazarbayev. The President of Kazakhstan stressed the importance of a hardworking society, which is the fifth heritage of the nation. “We have reached all we have right now through intense labor. Hard work makes every person noble and countries great,” passionately added Nazarbayev. He named Astana to be the sixth heritage and the architectural manifestation of the country’s power. Astana showcases the history of Kazakhstan’s Independence through the architectural intricacies of its buildings, parks and squares. The President added that the Capital is the beginning of the Kazakh Patriotism. The final, seventh heritage is global responsibility and humanitarian initiatives, said Nazarbayev. In the end of his speech, the President expressed a firm belief in the future success of the country and further development of Kazakhstan.
