Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev met with President of Azerbaijan Ilkham Aliyev in Almaty, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports. Upon completion of the meeting the presidents signed a joint declaration. “We already have 60 signed documents representing a legal basis for the negotiations. The documents signed today demonstrate that our cooperation is developing dynamically and progressively,” Kazakhstan President noted. During the meeting Nazarbayev and Aliyev also discussed possibility of supply of agricultural goods from Azerbaijan to Mangistau and Atyrau oblasts. “We talked about supplies of vegetables, fruits and other agricultural goods to Mangustau and Atyrau regions of our country,” the President said after the meeting with Aliyev. According to Nazarbayev, respective agreements have to be signed on mutually-beneficial conditions. President Ilkham Aliyev is visiting Kazakhstan at the threshold of the first summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (CCTS) to be held in Almaty, the biggest city of Kazakhstan, October 20-21.
