Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Erzhan Kazykhanov is to pay his first official visit to the USA late January – early February, the Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Altai Abibullayev announced January 23. “The visit will take place January 30 – February 1 upon invitation of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton”, Mr. Abibullayev said. Mr. Kazykhanov is to meet Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and some high ranking government officials in Washington, reps of the business community and US media. Mr. Kazykhanov and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are to discuss the forthcoming meeting of Presidents Nursultan Nazarbayev and Barack Obama on the sidelines of the 2012 Seoul Nuclear Security Summit to be held in Seoul in March 2012.
