Acceptable solutions on Baikonur found: Nazarbayev and Putin

Presidents of Kazakhstan and Russia Nursultan Nazarbayev and Vladimir Putin declared at the meeting in the Kremlin that experts of both countries and heads of the respective authorities found mutually acceptable solutions on use Baikonur cosmodrome, RIA Novosti writes. The Presidents also discussed the Common Economic Space and Eurasian Economic Union. “All issues related to the Common Economic Space and Economic Union are moving forward. We have to have the agreement by May 2014 and announce establishment of the Common Economic Space and Eurasian Economic Union in 2015,” the Russian President’s press-service cited Nazarbayev as saying. During the meeting Putin also said that the problems between Moscow and Astana have emerged because of the massive scale of the cooperation going on between the two countries. He noted that the growth in connections between Russia and Kazakhstan has a positive effect on economies of both countries and their citizens. Kazakhstan President said that a new friendship and cooperation treaty between the countries might be signed in Yekaterinburg in autumn. Nazarbayev arrived in Russian on February 7 to discuss key issues of bilateral relations under the plan of joint actions of the two countries for 2013-2015 adopted in December 2012.
