Kazakhstan Prosecutor General Askhat Daulbayev met with German ambassador to Kazakhstan Guido Herz, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the authority’s press-service. During the meeting Daulbayev invited the embassy’s employees and German experts to visit detention places and check on imprisonment conditions. According to the press-service, the Prosecutor General stressed that “protection of human rights during criminal prosecution and good detention conditions, observance of the obligations related to Kazakhstan’s joining major international treaties on human rights were under special attention of the prosecutors”. The discussion also covered Kazakhstan’s joining four conventions of the Council of Europe related to criminal proceedings. “Askhat Daulbayev suggested Germany party to consider signing bilateral agreements in human rights,” the press-service writes.
