Tengrinews.kz – The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Yerlan Nyssanbayev commented on the smog problem in the capital.

The minister called on residents to be patient and wait for the results of gasification.

"We have repeatedly said that gasification of the private sector of Astana and adjacent settlements is underway, so let's be patient - this work will be completed, and we will probably really see a change in the situation," Nyssanbayev said at a briefing in the government.

According to him, today the city akimat and the akimat of the Akmola region are actively working in this direction.

"For example: today gas is actively being supplied to private houses. In the Akmola region, in the village of Aleksandrovka - one of the largest settlements, which contributes to air pollution. Since the summer, work has been underway there to install distribution routes in the courtyards and gasification. I think that in the coming years we will see real results," he added.

Earlier, QazAvtoJol warned of difficult weather conditions on roads in several regions of the country.
