Young couple from Mexico have almost got struck by a lightning when making a selfie, Tengrinews reports citing Russian Vesti.ru.

The video capturing the dangerous moment went viral on Youtube with over 10 million views.

Luis Morales Fukutake and his girlfriend were on vacation in Mexico when the thunderstorm began.

They were preparing to take a selfie, it was beginning to rain and just that a moment a lightning bolt struck close behind the trees leaving a red glare.

Luckily, no one was hurt.

You can watch the lightning strike on the 24th second of the video:

People are leaving very sceptical comments. "Lightning struck the ground in more than 50 meters away from you. Is that actually close?" one of the commentators wrote. Some even believe that it the video is fake. "Rough fake, which can be recognized with the naked eye. If lightning really had struck so close to you, you could not have been alive now with a 99% probability," another wrote.
