As the snow melted away and the sun warmed the frozen earth, small but sturdy snowdrops started blooming. Hills, roadsides and even city parks are dotted with the lovely flowers. This year, the first signs of spring were a bit late. Last year the locals were enjoying snowballs in mid-February. Some town folks say it is because of the cold February.
Of course there is an urge to bring a piece of spring in your home as well. But be aware that little flowers are included into the Kazakhstan Red Book. Plucking flowers might bring unfortunate flower loves to the article 290 of the Criminal Code. So let everyone enjoy wild snowballs outside this Spring.
