Kazakhstan citizens, who work five days a week, will have four days off on December 31 through January 3, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing KazTAG. According to the Law “On Holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan”, the New Year is a public holiday in Kazakhstan and it is celebrated on January 1-2. It is a public holiday day according to the 5th article of the Law. “Public holidays are days off in the Republic of Kazakhstan. If a public holiday coincides with a day off, the next week day following it is made a day off as well,” the Law reads.
