Frosts of minus 33 degree centigrade are expected in the northern and central parts Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing a message of Director of KazHydroMet (national weather service) Bayan Sazanova. On February 21 the meteorolosists announced their forecasts to journalists. “In the nearest 24 hours eastern part of Kazakhstan will be in the zone of aggressive atmospheric fronts that cause precipitations and wind. Fog and glaze are expected in some areas. Relatively frosty weather is expected at the remaining territory of Kazakhstan," the message stated. "The temperature will go down to minus 33 degrees centigrade in northern and central parts of the country. The frost will continue until February 25 and will then move to the eastern and south-eastern parts of Kazakhstan,” the weather service said. Wind speed will increase in western Kazakhstan during the weekend, it may reach as high as 23 m/sec. The temperature is expected to rise at the major territory of Kazakhstan in the beginning of next week, but the west will be covered by a cold front coming from Scandinavian countries.
