The Central Election Commission (CEC) has accredited a total of 1050 observers, Tengrinews.kz reports. Ms. Tatyana Okhlopkova, a CEC member, announced that today, March 26, another 92 international observers had been accredited – 22 of the ODIHR/OSCE, 44 of the CIS and 26 representatives of far abroad countries. According to the Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry, the CEC has also accredited 90 representatives of foreign media enjoying the same rights as the other observers. Altogether, as of March 26, there are 1050 observers accredited. Accreditation is closing March 29, that is 5 days prior to the snap elections that are scheduled for April 3.
