Kazakhstan to launch direct flight to Mumbai and Goa

Kazakhstan is going to launch direct flights to Mumbai and Goa in India, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport and Communications. Kazakhstan and Indian airlines reached this agreement during bilateral negotiations in Delhi. In return Indian air companies will be able to launch the flights to Astana, Karaganda and Shymkent. Besides opening the new directions, the plans are to increase the flights frequency from 3 to 14 flights per week. According to Vice-Minister of Transport and Communications Azat Bekturov, opening the new directions and destinations, as well as increasing the flights frequency will have a positive effect on implementation of Kazakhstan’s transit potential and will boost the dynamic development of business and economy. Kazakhstan tourist agencies note that the new flights will make the trips to India more affordable for Kazakhstan residents and will help develop Kazakhstan’s tourism.
