853 licensing documents will be cut in Kazakhstan

853 licensing documents will be eliminated in Kazakhstan amid optimization and automation of the state services, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Minister of Transport and Communications Askar Zhumagaliyev as saying at the round-table meeting with Majilis deputies and representatives of non-governmental organizations. "80 permitting documents and 60 percent of socially important services are to be switched to the electronic format by the end of the year as part of implementation of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev's instruction. The optimization and automation will result in elimination of 853 documents currently required for licensing. According to preliminary calculations, the annual volume of the paper documents submitted to state authorities will decrease by 10 million documents," the Ministry's website writes. The process of optimization and automation provides will not only reduce the performance periods, but will also shrink the list of documents submitted for obtaining services, licenses or a permit. The majority of optimized services will be available on ego.kz and elicense.kz portals by the end of the year. Summing up the round-table meeting, Zhumagaliyev instructed the Commission for Control of Automation of State Services and Coordination of Activities of Public Service Centers to add up e-government website with the information on state services subject to optimization and automation, so that the citizens are aware of the lists of services with performance periods to be reduced in the nearest time and the news shrieked lists of required documents, and can offer their suggestions. According to the authority, electronic government currently offers 219 interactive and transaction services to Kazakhstan citizens.
