Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet has issued a warning for residents of Almaty and other cities in various regions of the country.

"On March 20, 2025, unfavorable meteorological conditions for air pollution are expected in the cities of Karaganda, Zhezkazgan, Balkhash, Temirtau, Aktobe, and Almaty," the statement said.

Unfavorable meteorological conditions refer to a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm weather, weak wind, fog, inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the lower atmospheric layer.

Weather in Almaty

On March 20, Almaty is expected to have partly cloudy weather with no precipitation. The southeast wind will blow at 3-8 meters per second. The air temperature will be 5-7°C at night and 22-24°C during the day.
