Tengrinews.kz - The process of transferring paid parking in Astana to state control is nearing completion, Deputy Akim Yersin Otebayev announced.
"The transition process is underway. We plan to complete the work by the beginning of summer," Otebayev stated during a Maslikhat session.
The reform includes the installation of cameras, the introduction of a new administrative system, and vehicle evacuation measures, with initial changes targeting the most congested areas of the capital.
"At the first stage, the Traffic Management Center will work on underutilized parking spaces. We have divided the city into three parking zones, with the most densely populated districts being prioritized," Otebayev explained.
A state-owned company will take over paid parking management, enforcing stricter regulations to improve traffic flow and enforcement.
