Fog and temperatures down to -30°C: Weather in Kazakhstan on January 14

Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet has shared the weather forecast for residents of Kazakhstan on Tuesday, January 14.

In Astana, partly cloudy skies with no precipitation are expected. Winds will be from the southwest and south at 2-7 m/s. The temperature will range from -13°C to -15°C at night, and from -4°C to -6°C during the day.

In Almaty, it will also be partly cloudy without precipitation. Winds will be light at 0-5 m/s. The temperature will range from -6°C to -8°C at night, and from +2°C to +4°C during the day.

In Shymkent, partly cloudy weather with no precipitation is expected. Winds will blow from the south at 5-10 m/s. The temperature will range from -1°C to -3°C at night, and from +10°C to +12°C during the day.

No precipitation is expected in the Akmola region, though fog is likely in the western and northern parts. Winds will be from the southwest and south at 9-14 m/s. Temperatures will range from -13°C to -18°C at night, dropping to -8°C to -13°C in the north, and from -2°C to -7°C during the day. In Kokshetau, partly cloudy skies with no precipitation are expected, with winds from the southwest at 5-10 m/s. The temperature will be between -8°C and -10°C at night, and between -2°C and -4°C during the day.

In the Almaty region, no precipitation is expected. In the mountainous areas, light fog may occur. Southeastern winds will blow at 9-14 m/s. Temperatures will range from 3°C to 8°C at night, dropping to -13°C in the northern and mountainous areas, with daytime temperatures between 2°C and 7°C. In Konaev, partly cloudy skies and dry conditions are expected, with winds at 9-14 m/s and temperatures of -11°C to -13°C at night and 0°C to -2°C during the day.

In the Zhetysu region, no precipitation is expected. Southeastern wind at 9-14 m/s, in the Alakol Lakes area 15-20 m/s, with gusts reaching 23-28 m/s, occasionally exceeding 30 m/s. Air temperature at night will be -17 to -22°C, in the south of the region -7 to -12°C, during the day -3 to +2°C, in the south of the region up to +6°C, in the mountainous areas around -10°C. In Taldykorgan, partly cloudy, no precipitation expected. Southeastern wind at 2-7 m/s. Air temperature at night will be -17 to -19°C, during the day 0 to +2°C.

No precipitation. In the south and mountainous areas of the Turkestan region, fog is expected at night and in the morning. Southern wind at 8-13 m/s. Air temperature at night will be 0 to -5°C, in the north of the region down to -8°C, during the day +8 to +13°C, in the north of the region around +3°C. In Turkestan, partly cloudy, no precipitation expected. Southern wind at 8-13 m/s. Air temperature at night will be -3 to -5°C, during the day +8 to +10°C.

At night in the West Kazakhstan region, snow is expected, during the day precipitation (mainly snow), with icy conditions. Fog is expected in the west, north, and east of the region. Southern wind shifting to northwestern at 9-14 m/s. Air temperature at night will be -5 to -10°C, in the west and south of the region around -2°C, during the day 0 to -5°C. In Uralsk, cloudy weather, snow expected at night, and precipitation (mainly snow) during the day, with icy conditions. Fog is expected at night and in the morning. Southern wind shifting to northwestern at 9-14 m/s. Air temperature at night will be -8 to -10°C, during the day 0 to -2°C.

In the Atyrau region, precipitation (rain and snow) is expected at night in the west and north, with icy conditions; during the day, precipitation (rain and snow), with icy conditions. Fog is expected at night and in the morning in the south, west, and north of the region. Southeastern wind shifting to northwestern at 7-12 m/s. Air temperature at night will be -3 to +2°C, in the northeast of the region down to -8°C, during the day +2 to +7°C, in the northeast of the region around -2°C. In Aktau, partly cloudy, no precipitation expected. Fog is expected at night and in the morning. Northwestern wind at 5-10 m/s. Air temperature at night will be 0 to -2°C, during the day +5 to +7°C.

In the afternoon, snow and icy conditions are expected in the west and north of the Aktobe region, with fog in the south and east. Winds will blow from the south and southwest at 7-12 m/s. Temperatures will range from -7°C to -12°C at night, dropping to -17°C to -22°C in the east, and from -1°C to -6°C during the day, reaching -10°C to -15°C in the east. Aktobe will have partly cloudy weather with daytime snow, winds at 2-7 m/s, and temperatures of -10°C to -12°C at night and -3°C to -5°C during the day.

Light snow and blowing snow are expected in the northwest of the Kostanay region, with fog in the west, south, and center. Winds will blow from the south and southwest at 9-14 m/s. No precipitation is expected in the North Kazakhstan region. Fog will form in the west and south. Winds from the southwest will reach 9-14 m/s, with gusts of 15-20 m/s in the west and south during the day. Temperatures will range from -7°C to -12°C at night, dropping to -15°C in the east, and from -2°C to -7°C during the day. No precipitation is expected in the Abai region. Fog will form in the east. Temperatures will range from -13°C to -18°C at night, dropping to -22°C to -27°C in the east and south, and from -3°C to -8°C during the day, reaching -13°C in the east. Semey will have partly cloudy weather without precipitation, with southeast winds at 5-10 m/s and gusts of 15-18 m/s during the day. Nighttime temperatures will range from -16°C to -18°C, with daytime temperatures of -4°C to -6°C.

No precipitation is expected in the Kyzylorda region. Winds from the east will blow at 9-14 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will range from -8°C to -13°C, and during the day, temperatures will range from -2°C to +3°C, reaching +6°C in the east. Kyzylorda will have light cloud cover without precipitation, with northeast winds at 7-12 m/s and temperatures of -8°C to -10°C at night and +1°C to +3°C during the day.

No precipitation is expected in the Zhambyl region. Fog will form in the north, south, and mountainous areas. Taraz will have partly cloudy weather without precipitation, with fog at times. Winds will blow from the northeast at 9-14 m/s, with temperatures of -4°C to -6°C at night and +9°C to +11°C during the day.
