Tengrinews.kz - A warm spell with temperatures reaching up to 12 degrees Celsius is expected in Kazakhstan from January 14 to 16.
Forecasters report that atmospheric fronts will influence weather conditions across most of the country, resulting in unstable weather. Snow and blizzards are expected, with rain and snow in the western and southern regions, and icy roads in some areas. In contrast, an anticyclone will bring dry weather to the southeastern part of the country.
"Temperatures will vary across the country, ranging from 0°C to -8°C at night in the west, and from -10°C to -25°C in the north and east. Daytime temperatures will range from -5°C to +5°C in most regions, while in the south, nighttime temperatures will be between -1°C and -13°C, with daytime temperatures reaching up to +12°C," the weather service said.
Additionally, strong winds and fog are expected in some areas across Kazakhstan.
Previously, Kazhydromet issued storm warnings for several regions of Kazakhstan on January 13.
