ПОДЕЛИТЬСЯ

Starting from the airfield of Novolazarevskaya station on December 4, 2011 on three special cars (two Toyota Hilux and one Toyota Land Cruiser Prado), the first Kazakhstan Scientific Expedition reached the South Pole on December 14, 2011, at the 100th anniversary of conquering of the most southern point of the Earth and almost at the eve of the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence. The expedition covered 4,600km on the route of Novolazarevskaya station - South Pole - Novolazarevskaya station, taking snow and ice samples and measuring radiation background.

First Kazakhstan Scientific Expedition to the South Pole included: the team's manager Nurlan Abduov, Ordenbek Mazbayev, Konstantin Orlov, Berik Baimagambetov, Sergey Bodrov, Vassiliy Mozzhukhin, Eyjolfur Mar Teitsson.
