Chinese and Kazakhstan workers had a fight next to the dormitory of EurasiaStroyCapital in Atyrau suburbs, the company’s deputy director Altay Tomakayev told Interfax-Kazakhstan. According to him, the conflict was caused by language issue. “Chinese workers were speaking loudly to each other and Kazakhstan workers thought that they yelled at them,” Tomakayev said and stressed that the fight was not massive. “There were not thirty, but only 5-6 people fighting. The other were just watching,” he said. Meanwhile, according to Tomakayev, 4 of the participants of the fight with light body injuries are Chinese citizens. The total of 200 people live in the dormitories of EurasiaStroyCapital, including 110 Chinese citizens. Deputy director added that the company suspended the works on Tuesday as the employees did not show up at the construction site. “Everybody will be working tomorrow,” he said on Tuesday. Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported that the fight took place next to the dormitory of EurasiaStroyCapital on Monday. The conflict was dispersed by the police officers of the local Interior Department who arrived to the site. According to the police, around 30 people participated in the fight. Four of them were taken to the hospital. They were discharged from the hospital shortly after getting some medical aide. EurasiaStroyCapital is a contractor of Chinese company Sinopec Engineering at the zero cycle construction of the complex for production of aromatic hydrocarbons at Atyrau oil refinery.
