A U.S. citizen has been robbed for over 300 thousand tenge ($2,000) in Almaty. The thieves stole video, photo and office appliances from his house in Akbulak region of Almaty, KazTAG reports citing law-enforcement authorities.
"While the 40-year old foreigner was away, the intruders fit the keys to the locks and got into the rented house on Samadi street last Saturday. There they stole 3 laptops, video and photo cameras," the authorities stated on March 6.
According to unconfirmed information, the American, who received Kazakhstan residency over a year ago, estimated the damage at 313 thousand tenge ($2,115).
