Kazakhstan is to know the name of the presidential election winner April 12 at the latest, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Kuandyk Turgankulov, the Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC). Preliminary results are expected to be announced April 4. “Before April 12 we must complete all the procedures, tally results, publish tem and register the president. The deadline is April 12”, Mr. Turgankulov said. Today he met both Kazakhstan and foreign journalists and confirmed 100% readiness of all the polling stations. “Everything is 100% ready: ballot papers are in place, all the information panels installed (…) members of local commissions are ready”, Mr. Turgankulov summed up.
