Pervak will play in Australia despite her sickness

Kazakhstan tennis professionals Kseniya Pervak and Galina Voskoboeva will compete in the Women Tennis Association (WTA) tournament in Australian Hobart, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing the official website of the tournament. The prize money amounts to $220 000. Hobart Tournament will be the last tournament ahead of the Australian Open that will start on January 16. Pervak is registered in Hobart Tournament as a Russian citizen. However, it became known that she has changed her citizenship to Kazakh one in the end of December. Pervak has already played for Kazakhstan in this season's tournament in Australian Brisbane. She fought against Italian Francesca Schiavone in the first round of the tournament on January 1. However she had to stop the match halfway due to a severe head ache.
