In the second fight of the season 5 of the World Series Boxing Kazakhstan’s Astana Arlans has defeated Rafako Hussars Poland in their home ring in Lublin, Poland 3:2, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

Young Arlan Olzhas Sattibayev who debuted in the 4th season against two times World Champion Misha Aloyan faced Hamza Touba, a former boxer from German Eagles in the flyweight category (-52 kg). Sattibayev stepped in the ring “meaning business”, as the WSB commentator noted. He overwhelmed his opponent with constant aggressive attacks. Touba showed less vigour and kept clinching the Kazakh boxer from the first round. Yet, the Hussars boxer, too, showed a number of solid connecting punches. But it was Sattibayev who took the victory with his excellent footwork, bold demeanour and impressive techniques.

Zakir Saiffulin debuted in the WSB in a fight against the bronze medalist of the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics Dawid Michelus in the lightweight category (-60 kg). Saiffulin was more tentative in his attacks than Sattibayev. But the Kazakhstani boxer was more technical in his attacks with a number of classic combinations. But Michelus made more cross punch connections. As a result, the judges gave Michelus and Saifullin 48:47, 48:47, 48:47 respectively. The Polish boxer brought Raffako Hussars the first victory of the night.

In the welterweight category (-69 kg), Madiyar Ashkeyev faced Steven Gerard Donelly, an Irish boxer. Ashkeyev previously won Cuban Olympic champion Roniel Iglesias during the Clash of Champions in September, 2014. In the fight against Donnelly, Ashkeyev seemed to be on the defense most of the time trying to score by counter punches. Donnely was more aggressive in his attacks. In the end, the relentless Irish boxer took the second victory brining the score to 2:1 in favor of the Polish team.

Arlans’ best light heavyweight (-81 kg) boxer Hrvoje Sep faced Polish national team member Mateusz Tryc. Faithfull Astana Arlans fans know that when things get dreary they can rely on the Croatian fighters. Tryc did not let Sep, a close range fighter to intimidate him and countered a good number of attacks. Yet, the Croatian Wolf outclassed the Hussar with the score of 48:47, 47:48, 47:48 brining the needed victory to the Astana Arlans of Kazakhstan.

This made the super heavy weight fight (+91 kg) the decider of the night. Another Croatian Arlan Filip Hrgovic got in the ring to fight against Pawel Wierzbicki from the Hussars. It is not the first time when Hrgovic shoulderrf the responsibility of the decide fight. As the WSB commentator noted, Wierzbicki had some difficulties in closing the distance with taller Hrgovic. The Croatian had an excellent combination series in the second round. The unrivaled super heavy weight ones again proved his dominance in the WSB ring and brought the Astana Arlans the 3rd victory.

The Astana Arlans won the Raffako Hussars with the score of 3:2.

On February 8, the Arlans will face the USA Knockouts in Kazakhstan's Karaganda, the hometown of the WBA Super, IBO and WBC (Interim) champion Gennady Golovkin and the Olympic Champion Serik Sapiev, the current Director of the Astana Arlans.
