Kazakhstan boxers won seven gold medals in President’s Cup boxing tournament, that was held in Almaty, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Vesti.kz. Kazakhstan Ilyas Suleymenov, 52-kilogram weight league boxer, won over his fellow countryman Miras Zhakupov in the final match. Another Kazakhstan fighter Kanat Abutalipov, 56 kilogram weight league boxer, defeated Cuban Estrado Alvanes. Asset Kassymov, 64 kilogram weight league boxer, prevailed over his countryman Almazbek Alibekov in almost a fair fight. Serik Sapiyev, Kazakhstan national boxing team leader (69-kilogram weight league), won over another Kazakhstan boxer Bakhytzhan Kozhabekov. There was one more fight between two Kazakhstan boxers: Danabek Suzhanov defeated Nurdaulet Zharmanov (both - 75kilogram weight league boxers). Adilbek Niyazymbetov (81-kilogram weight league boxer) won over Cuban Julio La Cruz. Kazakhstan Ivan Dychko, super heavyweight boxer, overcame Cuban Erislandy Savon. The President’s Cup prize money pool amounts to $10,000 in each weight league. Gold medal winners will get $5,000 each for their victories.
