Tengrinews.kz - The Acting Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Kazakhstan has signed a decree "On the implementation of sanitary and preventive, sanitary and epidemiological measures for influenza, severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), and coronavirus infection (COVID-19) for the epidemic season 2024-2025.”
The decree provides for the implementation of preventive and anti-epidemic measures during the epidemic season for SARS, influenza, and COVID-19, including:
- conducting influenza vaccination starting from September 1, 2024;
- in medical institutions: ensuring the operation of filters at entrances, using masks, and providing hand sanitizers;
- prioritizing home visits for pregnant women and children under 1 year old showing symptoms of SARS and influenza.
To prevent illness from influenza, SARS, and COVID-19, it is recommended to:
- regularly ventilate rooms;
- use antiseptic hand sanitizers;
- limit contact with sick individuals;
- use masks when in contact with people showing symptoms of illness;
- seek medical help in a timely manner.
The Health Ministry has issued a statement regarding the COVID-19 situation in Kazakhstan. According to the ministry, there have been 1,290 reported cases of coronavirus infection since the beginning of the year. The majority of these cases are mild.
