Tengrinews.kz - Five residents of the village of Zhezdy in the Ulytau region, who went missing on December 28, were found and rescued with the help of a drone.

According to the Ministry for Emergency Situations (MES), the men had left their village in a passenger car, heading towards the Bidash-ana farming area, but lost contact. Concerned relatives contacted rescuers for assistance today.

"Emergency workers conducted a search operation using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The missing individuals were located and evacuated to Zhezdy village. They did not require medical assistance. It was determined that they had been stranded in a snowdrift due to a vehicle malfunction," the MES press service stated.
