Tengrinews.kz – Vice-Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry Askat Orazbek commented on the recent disruption of government websites, including eGov.
According to the deputy minister, the situation occurred when two events coincided.
"The disruptions were not in the communication operator networks. In fact, as we analyzed, there were disruptions both in Russia and here with Meta's services. You are familiar with the list of these services. Regarding the accessibility of our government services to citizens, it was a disruption in the infrastructure of the national operator," Orazbek explained during a briefing in the Senate.
In the deputy minister's opinion, there is no perfect infrastructure anywhere.
"Meta is one of the largest companies and content providers in the world, and disruptions occur on its infrastructure. We also experience disruptions, but quite rarely. The last major disruption occurred in 2023, and another one happened recently. We are doing everything to resolve these disruptions, and not just resolve them, but also find the reasons and prevent the possibility of their recurrence in the area where they occurred," Askat Orazbek added.
